Optical House - Nakamura Takushi

The facade of this house is made up of a structure where about 6000 glass blocks are piled up. This clear boundary connects the interior of the city and housing without interruption. It is difficult to construct a wall with a width of 8600 mm × a height of 8600 mm with only a glass block of 50 mm × 235 mm × 50 mm, so it is made by attaching a glass block like a reed like a beam from the upper beam. Although you can not see the inside, you can enjoy the glass facade from outside.
