After the war, Hiroshima was destroyed by
the massive damage including the atomic bomb and the city was aiming for reconstruction.
Residents who were forced to evacuate for development gathered in the area of
"Komachi", built illegal houses, and made baseball slums.
Therefore, the prefecture and city launched the Keiichi area redevelopment
promotion council, and the improvement was proceeded with the area of about
33,600 square meters of the base district for the purpose of redevelopment of
the base town. Design was carried out by the Otaka Architectural Design Office,
which was nominated by Hiroshima City, and the planned construction of the
apartment and the green belt surrounding it were conducted by Le Corbusier's
Unite Davitasion It is said to be strongly affected. In this Hiroshima city,
this area where condominiums of the same design continues, somewhere amidst a
magical atmosphere, but there are many citizens who do not know the
circumstances until being designed.
